The widely acclaimed professional a cappella group, Voces8, visited St Benedict's Ealing, to work with the school's choirs, Abbey choristers and pupils of all ages. Ealing: Cardinal opens new building at St Benedict's

Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, blessed and formally opened the new Sixth Form and Art & Design Building at St Benedict's School in Ealing, West London, on 28 January, the Feast Day of St Thomas Aquinas. The building will provide a fitting and lasting memory of Headmaster Chris Cleugh, who retires later this year and in whose honour it is named. London: Matisse inspires pupil's stained glass window design

Eleven year old Olin Davies (Year 7) has produced the winning entry in the competition for the design of a stained glass window for the new Senior School Chapel at St Benedict's, Ealing in west London. More than a hundred pupils entered the competition, which was judged by a local stained glass artist - Sophie D'Souza - who will make the winning entry into the final window. Olin found his inspiration in the stained glass windows designed by Matisse.

Ealing: Children grow 'Tree of Money' for Nepal

Students and staff at St Benedict's School in Ealing, west London, have raised £1345 in support of victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal. The money will go to Kidasha, a charity working with children in the region. In the last week of term a giant tree appeared in the Cloisters Hall, spreading its branches right across the floor. This 'Tree of Money' was gradually covered with coins during the day. Fresh branches and leaves had to be added to accommodate the unexpectedly large amount of money brought in.
