London: Catholic family centre to offer alternative therapies
Government cuts are leading to diversification in all sectors, and St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre in north London has opened a second Massage and Reflexology Room which is now open to anyone feeling the stresses of modern living. Based in St Joseph’s Grove, Hendon the Centre offers both Massage and Reflexology, and has two trained (MFHT) therapists.
The benefits of massage are numerous – it promotes relaxation, relieves stress and tension, but also helps to build trusting relationships and creates body and sensory awareness. The Centre primarily offers courses to Adults with Learning Disabilities however, the additional space will allow members of the public to take advantage of the healing hands of Marina Fernandez and Jana Sabris.
Bookings must be made in advance – telephone 0208 202 3999 or email enquiries@stjoseph.org.uk . Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 6.30pm, and a 30 minute treatment costs £19. We are currently running a special offer – book five sessions and we will give you a sixth one free (£95).
St Joseph’s offers therapeutic, vocational or leisure courses to, adults with Learning Disabilities, of all faiths or none. The organisation is part of the Catholic Diocese of Westminster, based in Hendon, and also has an Outreach service which supports families in the parishes in their spiritual and social life.
