Faith in Sport Royal Gala Dinner


The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George will host a Royal Gala Dinner on Saturday 28 July 2012 from 7-10:30pm to mark the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

His Grace The Most Rev Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster and His Excellency Archbishop Antonio Mennini, Apostolic Nuncio to the Court of St James's will attend together with Orthodox, Anglican, Muslim and Jewish faith leaders.

This high profile event entitled 'Faith in Sport' will allow the internationally recognised Constantinian Order (www.constantinian.org.uk) to welcome and share hospitality with some of the many high profile overseas visitors who have a personal or official association with our Order. Hospitality is of course a hallmark of our Church and of all other faith communities. Archbishop Nichols will address the invited audience.

Senior statesmen, including Heads of State and Government and Royalty from abroad who maintain either a personal or official relationship with the Constantinian Order, and who will be in London attending the Opening Ceremony will attend including HRH the Duke of Castro, the Order's Grand Master. It is expected that senior national and civic leaders, parliamentarians, diplomats and businessmen will also attend.

The Royal Gala Dinner will be hosted by the Order's Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland, HE Mr Anthony Bailey, OBE, and include a three course dinner with wines, and an orchestra and military Guard of Honour will be present. For security reasons the precise whereabouts of the central London venue will be announced in due course.

The dress code for the occasion will be black tie or national dress with decorations. Tickets are available at £125 each.
