We did not bomb Belfast during the IRA attacks
I don't understand how Israel can justify its indiscriminate attacks on Gaza - even if they are having missiles thrown at them. I lived in London during the 70s and 80s and heard several of the lethal IRA bombings which caused a number of deaths and many terrible injuries. It was a frightening time. Yet our government never sent the RAF over to Belfast to bomb the civilian population there.
I've no doubt many of the IRA bombers lived in Belfast - hiding out among the civilian population. But our government responded in the only way that was humane and civilised way. I hope in future years we see Israel taken to court for war crimes. What is happening in the Holy Land is genocide.
