Young people aged between 11 and 18 are invited to attend the St Catherine's Trust residential summer school at Pantasaph Retreat Centre in North Wales from Sunday 26 July to Sun 2 August sponsored by the Latin Mass Society.

Those attending will experience a week of Catholic teaching in the context of the Traditional Liturgy. There is no fee, but parents are invited to make a donation to help towards the £250 per pupil costs of running the event. The week includes a trip to Denbigh and a pilgrimage to the relics of St Richard Gwynne in nearby Wrexham Cathedral.

LMS Chairman Joseph Shaw said: "The Summer School gives children the rare opportunity to experience a week of learning about the Faith, Catholic history, art, music and much else, in the context of daily Sung Masses in the Extraordinary Form in a beautiful venue. We're proud to sponsor this event, enabling the St Catherine's Trust to make places available regardless of ability to pay."

Alongside the Summer School, adults can enroll on a week-long Latin course at the same venue put on by the LMS and run by Fr John Hunwicke and Fr Richard Bailey. Students, seminarians and clergy are offered half-price tickets and LMS members get a 10 per cent discount on the £340 course fee.

Joseph Shaw said: "This will be our fifth residential Latin course, which offers an intensive week of Latin teaching, particularly suited to priests and seminarians, who receive a 50% discount, and valued by many lay people as well."
