Appeal for prayers for Christians in Syria and Iraq

Dear Friends,

Words cannot express the horror of what we are all seeing unfold before our eyes and hundreds of thousands flee a living Hell on earth which
is now the lot of large swathes of both Syria, Iraq and beyond. No wonder they flee. So would I if I was stuck in such a desperate situation.
I have just written to my Member of Parliament on behalf of the voiceless of both Syria and Iraq. I have copied it below for you to see.

Archbishop Samir, our Maronite Archbishop of Damascus is in hospital. He asks for prayers. It is obviously something other than his cataracts and could be serious.

Dear Antonia
I am again in hospital at Damascus for the 4th time since May.
Please pray for me that I can go back soon to my people.

Secondly I send you his second letter. Painful reading about the suffering Youth of Syria and why they flee. More to encourage you to pray.

Finally, the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima has been prevented from travelling to Damascus on September 7th. This is so so sad. The decision was taken out of the hands of the Church on the grounds of security and safety fears.

A Lebanese priest told me today that a Lebanese Carmelite Nun, a fews years ago, saw in a vision Lebanon engulfed in flames and horror.
Two weeks a go someone again spoke to this dear Nun. He asked her about the vision ...She told him that the Fires were being held in check because of
the episcopal Acts of Consecration of Lebanon to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary carried out by the Lebanese Bishops in the past two years.

What a grace obtained by Our Lady for Lebanon.

We now need this grace for both Syria and Iraq. I ask you to pray your Rosary every day for this intention. Both the Patriarch of Baghdad and of Antioch are to be contacted about this. The intercession of Our Blessed Lady before the Throne of God is the only HOPE for both Syria and Iraq.
It is also suggested that the Prayer of Exorcism of St. Michael given by Pope Leo XIII be prayed.

We can only pray for this intention.
