Liverpool: Louise Zanré to give annual J&P Memorial Lecture

Louise Zanré, outgoing director of the Jesuit Refugee Service in the UK, will give the annual 2016 Memorial Lecture of the Archdiocese of Liverpool's Justice and Peace Commission, at the Liverpool Archdiocese Centre for Evangelisation (LACE) this coming Sunday, 17 January.

This year's event - taking place between 2pm and 4pm - will be an opportunity to better understand the complexities of the refugee and asylum-seeker situation. In her lecture, entitled 'Overcome indifference and win peace', Louise Zanré will reflect on Pope Francis's message for Peace Sunday.

The J&P Memorial Lecture is held at LACE, Croxteth Drive, L17 1AA, with doors opening from 1.30pm. For more information, contact s.atherton@rcaol.co.uk or 0151 522 1080.

The Jesuit Refugee Service is a work of the British Province of the Society of Jesus. It accompanies refugees and forced migrants, serving them as companions and advocating their causes.
