London: New programme for young adults at Farm Street

With the launch of the new academic year a new and exciting young adult programme is starting up at Farm Street Church in Mayfair, central London. Activities form an intrinsic part of the Mount Street Jesuit Centre but events are specifically for those aged 18-35. There will be a Welcome Afternoon Tea on Sunday 18 September 2016 from 3.30-5pm.

Young Adult Ministry Masses

There is now a weekly Mass in Farm Street Church, which begins at 7pm. Each week incorporates a different Ignatian element such as the Examen, a reflection on offering our lives to God as well as a prayer experience which is offered in the Mass on each Third Sunday. Everybody is welcome and after each Mass there is time to be together over refreshments to continue to build the ever developing young adult community. If you would like to get more involved in the Masses, contact: .

Other Regular Gatherings for Young Adults

New this year Farm Street is offering a Faith Sharing Group which will meet every third Sunday of the month (September to June) from 5.15pm-6.15pm. This is open to anyone in their 20s and 30s who wants to come and spend a short time each month with like minded people to explore their faith. No pre-booking is required for this session.

There is also Lectio Divina Prayer every first Sunday of the month (October to June) from 5.15pm-6pm. Again this is open to anyone in their 20s and 30s and no pre-booking is required.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Young Adults

As part of the Faith Formation Programme of Farm Street Church, Sr Anouska runs the RCIA programme for young adults (people in their 20s and 30s) who are wanting to be baptised into the Catholic Church or for those who are already baptised who want to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church. She also invites young adult Catholics who have not yet being confirmed to get in touch if this is something that is of interest to them. The course runs from October to June and meets approximately fortnightly during this time. To arrange an initial appointment email S. Anouska and she will get back to you.
