Go siLENT with Million Minutes

There's only a week until the start of Lent. If you're looking for a way to mark Lent, either yourself or with young people you work with, it's not too late to get involved with siLENT. You can take part at any time before Easter Sunday.

'There is so much noise in the world! May we learn to be silent in our hearts and before God.' Pope Francis

siLENT is a simple idea. Instead of cutting out sugar, or giving up chocolate, we join together to use Lent to find silence - and at the same time we speak up for young people.

Getting sponsored this Lent will help us to give a voice to young people for whom silence isn't a choice; those overlooked by society and who are cast out of decision making.

Challenge yourself and your community to cut out the noise in your life this Lent: go without Facebook or stay silent with us. It could be just you, or it could be with one or two others, or it maybe a whole class or group.

There are also lots of resources to help support you online (including activities, presentations and assemblies, and sponsorship forms).
