The post holder will be responsible as part of the Chaplaincy Team for the provision of chaplaincy services to all prisoners in HMP Castle Huntly. Duties will be carried out in co-operation with members of the ecumenical and multi-faith chaplaincy team.
Candidates are expected to have Pastoral experience or equivalent in the Catholic Church. You will have well-developed communication and decision making skills, and have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. It would also be beneficial to have previous experience working in a prison environment and knowledge of the pastoral challenges within a prison setting.
Applicants must be an ordained Roman Catholic Priest, in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church and obtain the Bishop's approval prior to applying. You must also hold a Theological/Pastoral Qualification at recognised Theological College or equivalent.
