New music for canonisation of Blessed Mother Teresa
A parishioner from St Joseph Church, Christchurch in Dorset, Mr Santhosh Thomas, has composed the music and lyrics for three theme songs on a new album of music in preparation for Blessed Mother Teresa's Canonisation on September 4th, released by the Kerala Catholic Bishops Council.
Mr Thomas was brought up as a member of Syro- Malabar Church in India and became a parishioner of St Joseph's in 2003.
He has written the lyrics and music for more than 500 Christian devotional songs. On this album he has composed Year of Faith, Year of Consecrated life and Year of Mercy.
Santosh writes: "My wife Lisy and I, by God's grace have the gift to write Christian devotional songs and give music to them as well. It's truly God's gift as my wife or I have never learned any type of music in our lives. Our daughter Soniya also has the gift to sing and has sung in our albums. None of these are our own songs; God has just made us write them."
