Dublin: visit from director of Pattaya orphanage
Father Lawrence Patin (Father Larry), Director of the Pattaya Orphanage Trust's Father Ray Foundation, will be visiting Dublin on Sunday 4 November 2007 to celebrate Mass at the Redemptorist Church, Marianella, 75 Orwell Road, Rathgar.
The Mass will begin at 1pm and will be followed by lunch at the nearby Carrick Hall Hotel. Places are EU15 per person. As Director of the Father Ray Foundation, Father Larry is responsible for overseeing the orphanage in Pattaya, Thailand, which has some 170 children in its care. He also looks after the Pattaya Orphanage Trust's other projects in Pattaya including a school for deaf children, a school for blind children, a street kids' home and drop in centre, and a vocational school for disabled students.
Across the whole of Thailand, the Pattaya Orphanage Trust supports other projects working with children with HIV and tsunami survivors. The charity provides a home, an education and a future for almost 1,000 children, and reaches out to thousands more through health and nutrition projects.
