London: liturgy for the very young at Farm Street
This Friday, February 2 is the Feast of the Presentation ('Candlemas') and the Parish of the Immaculate Conception in Farm Street, London, is using this event in the life of Mary to offer a special Mass for those who have been affected by the loss of a child in pregnancy or within a year of a child's life. This includes miscarriages, still-birth and terminations. "There is a grief which is rarely acknowledged in these losses," says Parish Priest, Fr William Pearsall SJ, "and we hope that a chance to come together at a special Mass may help bring healing." This Liturgy for the Unborn is being organised with the help of Eileen Adams, MA, a trained bereavement counsellor and Chair of the Parish Council at Christ the King, Chingford. The Mass will be offered this Friday at 7pm in the House Chapel at 114 Mount Street, London W1K 3AH, with coffee in the Hall afterwards for those who wish. Please contact Fr Pearsall if you would like more information: phone 020 7493 7811.
