Bristol: animal creation service at Clifton Cathedral
Clifton Cathedral in Bristol is hosting a national ecumenical service for animal creation, on Saturday 4 October. Organised by the Catholic Study Circle for Animal Welfare, in conjunction with the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals, the service will be led by the Bishop of Clifton, Rt Rev Declan Lang and The Archdeacon of Bristol, The Venerable Timothy McClure. The Abbot of Belmont, Dom Paul Stonham OSM will be preaching. The service begins at 3pm. All are welcome to come to the Cathedral on Pembroke Road on the feast day of the Patron Saint of Animals, St Francis of Assisi. Canon Robert Corrigan, Dean of the Cathedral, said: "I look forward to welcoming the ecumenical guests to the Cathedral on Saturday for a service which for many will be an important celebration."
