Seven Missionary of Africa students ordained

The church of Our Lady Help of Christians in Kentish Town, North London echoed to the sound of African music and singing on Saturday, as seven Missionary of Africa students were ordained to the Diaconate by Bishop Thomas McMahon, from Brentwood Diocese. They were: Anselm Ngetwa and Venance Rweyunga from Tanzania; Emmanuel Mambwe, Everisto Mwelwa and Jerome Ndolesha from Zambia; Jose Aparecido Marques from Brazil; and Sosthene Charlemagne Palm from Burkina Faso. The seven also made their Missionary Oath. James Cordon Calder, a Missionary of Africa brother from Canada, joined them in making the oath. They were joined by their families and friends for a party in the parish hall after the service.
