The Priests sing with London Oratory Schola

The Priests

With the fastest selling classical debut album of all time, The Priests have enjoyed huge international success. On 12 February, The Priests will be joined by the London Oratory School Schola, in a performance of Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, and favourites from their recently released album Harmony. All proceeds from the concert will go to The Schola Foundation. The concert begins at 7.30pm.

The Priests and The Schola collaborated earlier this year in a sell-out concert in Belfast, and have recently recorded together on Harmony. The Schola was described by Choir and Organ Magazine as 'one of the best boys' choirs in the world.'

Fr Eugene O'Hagan of The Priests said: "We are honoured to link up with this prestigious choir again in one of the London's great venues for classical music".

The London Oratory Schola is unique in the UK in providing a complete chorister education for boys from seven to eighteen within the state education system. In addition to its regular liturgical duties and professional performances and recordings, The Schola has a commitment to bring sacred music to a wider audience and to commission and record new sacred works. It regularly gives performances to help other charities raise funds at home in the UK and in the developing world.

In addition, the Schola also is committed to its chorister outreach programme, Oratory SingUp, which takes its music specialists and choristers into primary schools to help young children learn to sing.
