The Papal Tiara - Vatican image
The historic links between the Holy See and the British monarchy from early days to the present time will be explored in a new exhibition opening at Westminster Cathedral on 2 August. The Crown and the Tiara is being mounted in St George's Chapel. It consists of a series of panels with text and pictures. The exhibition was originally created for the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1982, by historian Rosemary Rendell, and Dr Michael Stratton, honorary secretary of the Friends of the Holy Father.
The Crown and the Tiara can be seen from Monday 2 August to Fridaty 13 August.
