London: standing room only at The Jeweller

A rare performance of The Jeweller on Wednesday night at the Leicester Square Theatre in London has sold out. All the seats have gone, barring cancellations, but the management sat they are releasing a further 20 standing-room only tickets.
.
'The Jeweller' is a modern adaptation of the rarely performed Polish play 'The Jeweler's Shop', written in 1960 by Karol Wojtyla - who later became Pope John Paul II.

Described as 'a powerful and moving portrait of love and responsibility, marriage and breakdown, human frailty and divine influence, from the mind of one of the most influential figures of the 20th Century' the play has been given a contemporary, engaging adaptation by writer Martin O'Brien.

Staged by the award-winning theatre company Ten Ten Theatre and directed by Paul Jepson ('Telstar' in the West End, 'Life After Life' at the National Theatre) 'The Jeweller" promises to be a unique theatrical experience.

The Jeweller is being performed on Wednesday 22 June at 7.30pm at The Leicester Square Theatre, 6 Leicester Place, London, WC2H 7BX

Tickets are £10 (£7 concs) To book, e-mail: boxoffice@leicestersquaretheatre.com
