London: new headteacher at Maria Fidelis school
Maria Fidelis Convent School FCJ in Euston, has welcomed a new headteacher this term: Helen Gill. Many pupils and parents will already known Ms Gill from her time as Deputy Head in charge of the Gower Street site.
Maria Fidelis has won international fame for it's Gospel Choir which sang for Pope Benedict last year during his visit to St Mary's University College in Twickenham and performed on many more important occasions and won many awards.
The pupils have also had outstanding exam results this year with 100% A*-C in Biology, Chemistry, ICT, Physics 91% and excellent results in all other subjects.
Ms Gill said: "I am looking forward to leading the whole school to achieve even higher standards. I would like to thank all the staff and students for their hard work and particularly the parents and carers; without your support we could not be successful.
"We have made an excellent start to the year with exemplary standards of uniform and behaviour on both sites. You can be sure I will do all I can to maintain these standards for the good of our whole community."
