Simon Callow plays Scrooge in Little Venice Puppet Theatre
Simon Callow is the voice of Scrooge in a new production of Dicken's A Christmas Carol opening at the Puppet Theatre in Little Venice, Maida Vale at 3pm on Thursday, 27 December. Nicholas Lane, musical director and organist at Corpus Christi and Holy Apostles churches in London, wrote and recorded the music for this imaginative and original adaptation by Juliet Rogers and Gren Middleton, which was first performed in 2008.
Nich's little second cousin Laurence Cummins is the treble soloist in the show, singing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, on which theme Nicholas has based the opening prelude music. The show wil being performed every day from December 27 - 31, and January 1-6 at 3p. There are also performances on January 12th and 13th at 3pm.
