Heythrop College to host public lecture by Dr Douglas Hedley

Dr Douglas Hedley
Dr Douglas Hedley, Reader in Hermeneutics and Metaphysics, at the University of Cambridge, will be speaking on 'Image and Imagination' at the Centre for Philosophy of Religion Lecture Series hosted by Heythrop College, University of London, on Tuesday, 5 March at 5pm.
A Fellow of Clare College, Dr Hedley is co-chair of the Platonism and Neoplatonism section of the American Academy of Religion and a past Secretary of the British Society for the Philosophy of Religion.
His books include Coleridge, Philosophy and Religion: Aids to Reflection and the Mirror of the Spirit (2000); Deconstructing Radical Orthodoxy. Post Modern theology, Rhetoric and Truth (2005, co-edited with Wayne Hankey); Sacrifice Imagined: Violence, Atonement and the Sacred (2011). He is working on a Trilogy on the religious imagination.
The lecture will take place in the Marie Eugenie Room. Heythrop College, University of London, Kensington Square, London W8 5HN.
