Augustinians elect new General Prior
Members of the General Chapter of the Order of Saint Augustine, gathered in Rome, elected today the 97th General Prior: Fr Alejandro Moral Antón from Spain.
A few hours after his election Fr Alexandro said he hoped the Augustinian family would be united in their dedication evangelisation. He said: “I wish that the Augustinian family, more united and more capable of living together according to the charism of St Augustine, with renewed commitment and enthusiasm, can bring the Gospel to the poor and those who suffer”. Recalling the Pope's invitation expressed during the Mass celebrated in St Augustine in Campo Marzio. Father Alejandro said: "Bringing the Gospel with unity of heart, walking in Deum" expression of Father's mercy."
