Archbishop of Canterbury speaks at Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast
Speaking at the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, this morning (Tuesday, 17 June) the Archbishop of Canterbury. Justin Welby, says the global 21st church must - as Pope Francis has said - be about the three P's: prayer, peace and poverty.
In this clip the Archbishop describes recent visits to the DRC and South Sudan, praising the churches there who are not only helping those caught up in bloody conflict - but also calling for reconciliation. The Archbishop was giving the keynote address at the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, Westminster - the first time an Archbishop of Canterbury has addressed the event.
The prayer breakfast, organised by Christians in Parliament and the Bible Society, was attended by both the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition for the first time in its 20-year history.
