Online Catholic directory launches video support
The on-line Catholic Directory, launched by Catholic publishing house CathCom in 2013, lists details, website links and other information from all parishes, schools, organisations and community projects in England and Wales. Listings can be updated in-house, or by users. The service is completely free. Founder, Nick Layton, who began the directory project on 1997, explained: “We wanted to offer a service to the Church. The site is being developed all the time. We will be adding more features soon."
Today Cathcom unveiled a YouTube video, explaining how the system works. See: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIMUkOd2ysA
Although it has not been advertised, the simple and easy-to-use site is already proving to be popular. On an average day it receives around 16,000 searches for churches and Mass times.
