Catholic People’s Weeks 70th Anniversary Year

For 70 years CPW has been providing "holidays with a difference". The events offer engaging talks and activities, prayer and socialising, in a community setting. Some are for people of all ages - families with children, as well as people (of any age) without children. Others are for those aged 18 and over.

In 2015, nine events have been organised, varying between two and seven days, on a range of themes. Topics range from the difficulty of faith, to the love of God, and the nature of Christ.

There will be a Taste and See in May at Coalbrookdale in Shropshire, when CPW encourages new members to try out CPW with a 'two-for-one' offer.There is one new centre in 2015, Allensford Youth Village in Co. Durham, near Hadrian's Wall, while a completely new venture for CPW will be the first cycling week, in Kent. There is a second visit to Abbot Hall, near Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria, close to the Lake District and Morecambe Bay, and a week at Noddfa in Penmaenmawr, North Wales.

The winter weekends will return to the ever popular settings of Boars Hill, Oxford and Hyning in Lancashire. An autumn Annual Reunion weekend (all members welcome, old and new), including the annual Dora Turbin Lecture, will be at Boars Hill, where there will also be a summer week this year.

Details of all 2015 events are on the CPW website and a printable booking form. There is a 5% discount on all bookings for summer events received by the end of February.
