North Londoners send condolence messages to family of murdered Palestinian baby
Vigils and protests have been taking place around the world, following the death of 18 month old Ali Dawabsheh, who was killed when illegal Israel settlers set fire to his family home in the village of Douma, in the West Bank. His father, mother and brother are still in intensive care in hospital.
In Kentish Town, north London, volunteers from the Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association (CADFA) held a protest, urging passers-by to sign a petition to their local MP calling for the government and international community to implement international law and take action against the violent activities of the illegal settlers.
The group also invited locals to write condolence messages to Ali's family. Dozens of people stopped to sign.
Mary McGuire, a retired nurse from the Royal Free Hospital told ICN: "I can't imagine how distressed the family must feel. They have lost their child and their home. I just pray that they survive themselves. If they are in intensive care with burns, who knows how serious their injuries are."
Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association (CADFA) campaigns on human rights violations in Palestine and runs a range of education projects, using art, drama, music and film - and twinning schools, colleges, youth clubs and other organisations in Camden and Palestine.
