Progressio will be holding two public events to mark their 75th Anniversary: 'Voices in Celebration' - a lively evening of discussion, music and art inspired by 75 years of Progressio's work and 'Putting Human Rights at the Centre of Development' - a service led by Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor, followed by a drinks reception.
'Voices in Celebration' will take place on Wednesday 28 October 7pm - 8.30pm at the Seven Dials Club in Covent Garden, WC2H 9LA. Speakers include Fiona Mwashita, our Southern Africa Regional Manager who is visiting from Zimbabwe, and Lizzette Robleto de Howarth, Head of Policy at Progressio. Returned International Citizen Service volunteer and vocalist, Jemma Reid, will also be performing.
On Monday, 2nd November Progressio warmly invites people of all faiths and none to join a service and homily led by their President, Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor, followed by a drinks reception. The service will reflect on Progressio's work, particularly with women in fragile states like Somaliland and Zimbabwe as they fight to achieve gender justice.
'Putting Human Rights at the Centre of Development' will take place at the Temple Church, London, EC4Y 7BB on Monday, 2nd November from 5.45pm - 7.30pm.
