London: Bruce Kent to speak on those who've had the courage to say 'no' to war

Bruce Kent, a former chair of CND, now vice-president of the Movement for the Abolition of War, and Pax Christi, will be talking about people who have had the courage to say "no" to war. These include Professor Joseph Rotblat, Sylvia Pankhurst, Blessed Franz Jagerstatter, and many more, who he says are: "all an inspiration and encouragement for us today who work for a more peaceful and just world".

The event, organised by the Islington Archaeology & History Society, will take place on Wednesday, 18 November, at 7.30pm in St Mary's Meeting Rooms, Upper Street, Islington, N1 2TX
