Premier Radio makes official complaint to Equalities Commission after cinemas ban Nativity advert
Britain's largest Christian broadcaster is to make an official complaint to the Equal Opportunities Commission about a cinema ban on an advert featuring a Nativity scene. Premier Christian Radio will call for a review of current policies which prohibit religious advertising.
The footage in question was produced in support of the 'Christmas Starts with Christ' campaign and was rejected by cinema advertising agency Digital Cinema Media (DCM).
Premier's CEO, Peter Kerridge, said today: "DCM's decision to ban this advertisement represents a clear discrimination against Christianity in a Christian country, which demands an urgent review by the Commission. We shall be making an official complaint."
Premier Christian Radio works in partnership with the 'Christmas starts with Christ' initiative.
