Southwark: Celebration Mass for CHAS Diamond Jubilee

A Celebration Mass for the Catholic Housing Aid Society's Diamond Jubilee will take place at St George's Cathedral Southwark on Thursday, 19 May at 7pm.
The event is part of a programme to mark the 60 years since Maisie Ward and Molly Walsh founded CHAS in 1956. The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Peter Smith, and the homily will be given by the Rt Revd James Langstaff, Bishop of Rochester, Chair of Housing Justice, and one of the readers will be Rachel Lampard, former employee of CHAS and now Vice-President Elect of the Methodist Conference.
The Mass will be followed by a reception at Amigo Hall to which all are welcome. The entrance to the Cathedral is on Lambeth Road, London SE1, and the nearest tube station is Lambeth North.
The CHAS Hull Roadshow is setting out on 7th June. Their first stop will be at The Community Enterprise Centre, Cottingham Road, Hull, HU5 2DH - Open from 9.30am- 3pm
