Sister Cecilia Goodman CJ has died

We have just received the sad news that Sister Cecilia Goodman CJ from the St Bede's Pastoral Centre in York, has died. In a brief message, Dr Gemma Simmonds CJ, Director of the Religious Life Institute at Heythrop College announced the news this evening.

Sister Cecilia was found dead in her room at the Bar Convent. Her death was sudden and unexpected, though she had been ill for some time.

Sr Gemma says: "We are all devastated. I feel sure you will join your prayers with ours."

Many people who have attended Ignatian talks and retreats will have known Sister Cecilia and will be praying for her at this time. May she rest in peace.
