Michael Slater and Actors' Chaplain Fr Allan Robinson hosted the annual Catholic Association of Performing Arts (CaAPA) Christmas dinner on Friday evening. Judge Nicholas Hillard QC, and Mgr Vladimir Felzmann Chairman of the CaAPA board of trustees were among the guests.

Fr John Warnaby gave an entertaining after-dinner address, which was followed by a salutation to the Queen and the Pope. A resolution was raised to encourage young artistes to become full and active members and participate in Catholic theatreland life.

Toward the end of the evening a group proceeded to St Thomas More's legendary mulberry tree, where traditional prayers were said under a frosty sky.

The next event in the CaAPA diary takes place this Friday 15 December at 6.30pm, when members will be taking part in a Carol Service at Corpus Christi, Maiden Lane, Covent Garden. All are welcome.

The Catholic Association of Performing Arts (formerly the Catholic Stage Guild) is the main organisation for Catholics in the drama and entertainment world. For more information see: http://caapa.org.uk/
