Wales: Blessing of St Colette at Ty Mam Duw

During her life, St Colette, a 15th Century Poor Clare, was famed for her prayers for children - especially those very much wanted or on the way. The Annual Mass this Saturday, 3 February at 12 noon, in her honour, as well as being a happy occasion where families bring their children and give thanks for their arrival, is an opportunity to receive a blessing with a relic of St Colette's veil which she once wrapped round a dead child that the Lord subsequently restored to life. This will be the last Saint Colette Celebration in Hawarden.

Every one is welcome - and you do not have to be a baby to receive the blessing!

The Mass will be at the Poor Clare Colettines. Upper Aston Hall Lane, Hawarden North Wales CH5 3EN.

Mother Mother Damian is pictured on the right, blessing a mother and child.
