May Feelings - the social network that prays to change the world

May Feelings began on the 1st of May ten years ago - when young Spanish film maker Santiago Requejo made a video dedicated to praying the Rosary. Since then, each year his team has shared a new video encouraging viewers to pray on a specific idea.
These videos over time have led to the creation of the world's first prayer social network. Currently, more than 150,000 people have registered to this prayer apostolate and more than one million have prayed for another person in need of prayer.
This year the organisers have decided to invite people to spend the same time they would have spent watching a new video, to praying for refugees.
They write: "Every minute, eight people have to leave their homes and leave everything for fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, or belonging to a particular social group or political opinion, becoming refugees.
Currently, armed conflicts in the Middle East and Africa, among others, increased the number of refugees in the world to 56.7 million, reaching a record number that had not been recorded since World War II.
The majority of these refugees - 86% - are welcomed in developing countries, which is why the humanitarian problem is increasing, since these countries do not have the necessary infrastructure to cover the basic needs of the refugees.
These people need humanitarian aid urgently. Therefore, from May Feelings we want to support all the refugees with our prayer in this month of May and we ask God to increase solidarity among the countries so that the refugees of the world can find shelter, food, drinking water, medicines. and they can recover their independence and self-sufficiency as soon as possible."
