Stonyhurst seeks Director for Christian Heritage Centre

For where your treasure is there will your heart be also Matthew 6:19-21

Director of the vibrant new Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst in Lancashire, opening the doors of Theodore House in the autumn of 2018.

£30,000 (gross) salary per annum, reviewable against performance, plus a £5,000 contribution per annum towards accommodation costs possibly on site.

The Trustees of this UK registered charity, The Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst, seek to appoint their first DIRECTOR - appointed initially on a three year fixed term contract and subject to a probationary period of six months.

The Director will be responsible to the Trustees, chaired by Lord Alton of Liverpool, and will set an inspirational leadership, proactively creating a schedule and the structuring of the busy annual programme of the Centre's activities. Other important elements of the role include liaison with schools, dioceses and potential clients, nationally and internationally, wishing to make use of the excellent new state of the art facilities that Theodore House will provide.

Further management responsibilities include overseeing the Retreat and Christian Leadership programmes, liaison with Stonyhurst College, the organisation of Trustee Management meetings, the management of interns and the overall management of Theodore House itself.

A Guest Master has been appointed by the Trustees who will report to the Director and be responsible for the day to day domestic support services of the Centre and for all reservations for the Centre.
This is a dynamic opportunity for a professional with demonstrable management experience who will possess a lively Faith, outstanding interpersonal abilities and relish the opportunity to establish and take forward this pioneering, new and trusting Christian venture.

Interviewing will take place shortly, commencement in September of 2018.
