London: Baroness Scotland to speak on 'Saving Our Common Earth'
Baroness Patricia Scotland QC will be speaking at Farm Street Parish in Mayfair tomorrow evening (13 September) on 'Saving our common earth: No time to lose.'
Baroness Scotland is Secretary General for the Commonwealth Secretariat. After a career as a barrister and politician Baroness Scotland was elected as the 6th Secretary General of the Commonwealth in 2016.
In her talk the Baroness will give an insight into the action taken by the Commonwealth in tackling climate change. The fifty-three member states of the Commonwealth include eighteen island states who are among those suffering the most from a changing climate and rising sea levels.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A and teas and coffees.
The talk takes place on Friday, 13 September at 6.30pm, at Farm Street Parish, 114 Mount Street, Mayfair, W1K 3AH.
