Gabriel's Message for Harrogate

As part of its celebrations for the Year of the Word, the Diocese of Leeds is running a series of podcasts entitled A History of the Word in Objects. Each podcast showcases various objects, chosen from churches and schools across the Diocese, which illustrate the Bible's relevance to our Faith. The initiative has been devised and produced by Diocesan Year of the Word Scripture Champions, Rev Henry Longbottom and Dr Gregory Stacey.
To celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation on 25 March, the latest podcast comes from St John Fisher School in Harrogate, because its chapel contains an altar carving depicting the Annunciation scene.
Deacon Henry and Dr Gregory met up with School Librarian Mrs Pollard, School Chaplain Mr Atkin and after a guided Lectio Divina in the Lady Chapel in front of the Annunciation carving, we hear the reactions of pupils. The beautiful photographs accompanying the podcast were taken by pupils studying GCSE Photography.
