Guidance for Catholic Funerals as lockdown eases

Source: CCN
As the Covid-19 lockdown is being gradually lifted, funeral practices can once again take place in Catholic churches. These guidelines, issued by the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales 'support the safe and dignified conduct of non-Eucharistic Funeral Services.'
Since late March, Funerals have only been permitted in chapels at cemeteries and crematoria, with a live-streamed celebration of Mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased, at a separate time, in a closed church, offered to the family members and friends for them to follow online - without a congregation or the presence of the body.
These new guidelines, revised on 15 June 2020, support the safe and dignified conduct of non-Eucharistic Funeral Services. See: www.cbcew.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2020/06/Acts-of-Worship-Funerals-190620-1351.pdf
