Talk: An insight into the Vatican's Covid-19 response

Fr Augusto Zampini-Davies will be speaking on Tuesday, 23 June at 7.30pm in the Lauriston Jesuit Centre Lockdown talk series.
Fr Augusto is an Argentine priest from the Diocese of San Isidro, Buenos Aires. In April 2020 he was appointed Adjunct Secretary of the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, having worked in the Dicastery since its creation in 2016.
He is currently leading the Vatican's post-Covid-19 task force. In 2018, Pope Francis appointed him as one of the experts/advisors to the Synod of the Amazon. Trained as a moral theologian, he has been lecturing on ethics since 2004 and was theological adviser to CAFOD.
Before entering the priesthood he worked as a lawyer at the Central Bank of Argentina and at the international law firm Baker & McKenzie (1993-1997).
