Glasgow celebrates Patron Saint Mungo

This week Glasgow celebrates the Feast and Festival of its patron saint, St Mungo, who died between 604 and 614. The Festival begins with the Molendinar lecture, then with the annual Vita Kentigerni (Life of Kentigern/Mungo) event (virtually) at the Mitchell Library, then the St Mungo Festival Service in Glasgow Cathedral with the Lord Provost and city and church representatives, and goes on to include 'Mungo's Bairns' featuring the Cantata for schools 'St Mungo' and the Play by AGAP.
Every parish in the Archdiocese will celebrate the Mass of St Mungo on his feast day on Wednesday.
