Investigation shows UK-made arms bombed Gaza
Source: CAAT
Over the last two weeks, Israeli forces carried out a brutal bombardment of Gaza. Hundreds of people were killed and vital infrastructure was destroyed, making the humanitarian crisis even worse. An investigation by Campaign Against the Arms Trade and the Independent has exposed the role that UK-made military equipment has played in the bombing campaign.
Israeli forces used advanced F-35 fighter jets throughout the attacks. 15% of the value of each aircraft is made here in the UK, with arms producers boasting that 'the fingerprints of British ingenuity' are vital to the warplanes.
Reports also point to the use of F-16 fighter jets and Apache helicopters, both of which include UK-made components and have played a key role in the bombing.
