Camino to COP26: People's walk for the planet
Extinction Rebellion Faith Bridge is organising a long distance walk from the heart of our government to the gathering of nations in Glasgow for the November Climate Change conference. Members of the Catholic Climate and Ecological Emergency Network are participating.
Extinction Rebellion Faith Bridge is an interfaith alliance across a broad spectrum from established religions to those who are spiritual but not religious. A pilgrimage from the centre of UK government in Westminster to the gathering of nations in Glasgow is one that fits naturally within its declared intention of being "united for our sacred Earth".
A vigil will be held in Glasgow for the duration of COP26, when the eyes of the world will be on its leaders.
The route is provisionally scheduled to start on Sunday 5 September in London and end in Glasgow 48 days later. Each daily section is approximately ten miles. You can join for the whole thing or any section.
The website shows the route and planned stops.
An Information Pack is available. Anyone interested is invited to read through this information pack, and check out the sign-up link at the end.
