Synodal Journey newsletter for March 2022 - Voices of priests

The Synodal Journey Newsletter for March 2022 from the General Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops is now online. This month's edition focuses on priests.
Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops, and Archbishop Lazzaro You Heung sik, Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy, have written a beautiful and motivating letter to the priests of the whole world, which will be published tomorrow (19 March), the Solemnity of St Joseph. In it they highlight the challenges of the synodal journey: "it will not be free of questions, difficulties and interruptions, but we can be confident that it will bring us back a hundredfold in fraternity and fruits of evangelical life".
Oscar Cantú, bishop of San José in California and chairman of the US bishops' Subcommittee on Hispanic Affairs, was skeptical about synodality. His participation in the November 2021 Latin American Church Assembly changed his mind.
