Glasgow: Thousands pray Rosary for peace in city square
A huge crowd gathered in St Georges Square Glasgow, yesterday to pray the Rosary for peace in Ukraine and all those suffering from the horrors of war. The service was led by Bishop John Keenan, Bishop of Paisley, who wrote on his Facebook page:
"A truly blessed George's Square Glasgow Rosary for Peace and Consecration yesterday when an estimated 2,000 Catholics came and prayed to Our Blessed Mother for peace in the Ukraine and united in communion with Pope Francis and Bishops, clergy and lay faithful across the world to consecrate humanity, Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
(Glasgow's Archbishop William Nolan had been scheduled to lead the prayers - but he tested positive for covid yesterday so has to self isolate.)
