Farmfest

At the Catholic Worker Farm in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. For the first time in two years - this four day event for all the family showcases some of the best alternative bands, contemporary artists and folk music on a huge stage. There's a dedicated food tent; crepes, popcorn, plenty of vegetarian options and Real Ale! Come for the bonfire, fireworks, bouncy castle, silent disco, Indonesian dancer, riding bull, trampolines and camping.

Performers include Peter Nutkins, Matt Davies, Tom Lavin, Steve Last, Jim Waterson and Ady Shaw, the New Immigrants and Brooms of Destruction.

As much as FarmFest is all about bringing live music to a lakeside farm in the greenbelt, it's important to remember that we're here to support a cause. FarmFest is the annual fundraiser festival for The Catholic Worker Farm, accounting for nearly a quarter of the yearly funding that makes our work possible.

The Catholic Worker Farm provides accommodation, food, English lessons, counselling and other services for 20 destitute female asylum seekers and their children. The farm meets the physical needs in relation to shelter, food and clothing, but just as importantly enables the guests to live in a supportive and loving environment. We have been able to home over 500 people in need since we started in 2006. We're aiming to raise £10,000 so we can continue paying for rent, food and heating until next year.

The Catholic Worker Farm is based at Lynster's Farm, Old Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, WD3 9XJ.
