London: Joy and Justice Peace and Poetry!

Sarah de Nordwall

Sarah de Nordwall

Come and enjoy the inspiration and refreshment that true tales and life enhancing poems can bring with a unique evening with Sarah de Nordwall and the company of bards at Farm Street Church this evening.

Sarah has performed at the House of Lords and at venues from Transylvania to Pennsylvania and was the unofficial performance poet in residence at BBC Worldwide and winner of the Wild Words Poetry competition and is published by Folklore Publishing and the Bard school Press.

This summer Since then Sarah and the Company of Bards from her Bard School have been contributing Creative Writing workshops for the homeless at the lunch service at Farm Street.

This event is being held also as a fundraiser for those enrichment services.

Do encourage your creative friends and aspiring writers to come because you'll be invited to pick up your pens in the interval and perhaps come and share at the mic in the second half. This event was a tremendous success when we held it for National Poetry Day before lockdown, but this year we are holding it on the Feast Day of Pope Saint John Paull II who was a great poet, playwright and advocate of the power of the arts to restore the tools of resistance to the hands of those who needed a voice. Come and awaken the energies necessary to 'meet and master the challenges of the age' as he so wonderfully put in his letter to artists in 1999. Tickets £20. £5 discount for all volunteers at the luncheon service.
