The annual conference of ecumenical charity Christians Aware will take place 13-15 January 2023 at the Hayes in Swanwick, Derbyshire. The title of the conference is: 'On Eagle's Wings. Health and Healing Worldwide'.

Goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals is: 'Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being at all ages.' Progress has been made but it has been seriously threatened by the spread of COVID 19. The response to COVID by the countries of the world has been and still is a far from equal response. Lack of progress in Goal 3 affects progress in many of the other sustainable goals and life in every country of the world.

Our conference offers participants the opportunity to learn about health and healing worldwide from excellent speakers and seminar leaders.

Speakers will be: Rachel Carnegie, Executive Director of the Anglican Alliance; Mike Wooldridge a former BBC Africa correspondent, Ruth Wooldridge a specialist in palliative care and Peter Rookes is coordinator of the interfaith health and healing forum in the West Midlands.

Workshops include:

Columban work for healing around the world (Ellen Teague)

Health and well-being in a time of crisis (Christian Aid)

Is a healthy Afghanistan possible? (Admed Masood Amer)

The conference will include talks and seminars, singing, worship, bible study and group discussion. There will also be an auction of gifts.

All are welcome.
