London Prayer Vigils for those who have died seeking sanctuary

Home Office Prayer Vigil

Home Office Prayer Vigil

The death toll of refugees attempting to seek asylum in the UK increases each week. A limited number of visas are being granted to people from Afghanistan and Ukraine, but there is no 'legal' way for people from other war-torn countries to apply for asylum here until they step on British soil. (The UK takes in just one per cent of the world's refugees at the present time, David Milliband head of the International Rescue Committee stated recently.)

A prayer vigil for those who have died seeking sanctuary takes place on the third Monday of each month - outside the Home Office, 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF from 12.30-1.30pm. All are welcome to join.

The next dates will be 16 January, 20 February and 20 March.
