Campaigners protest at Arms Fair in Twickenham

'This is not a sport' - That's the message peace campaigners in west London are taking to the Rugby Stadium in Twickenham - near St Mary's University - where arms manufacturers are planning to hold a fair next week.

The Twickenham Arms Fair - 'International Armoured Vehicles' plans to open in the Stadium on 23rd January. Exhibitors and speakers at the arms fair will include representatives from drone maker Elbit Systems, missile maker Rafael, warplane manufacturers Leonardo and others.

Richmond and Kingston PSC, along with other local groups and CAAT campaigners are saying 'Tanks Out of Twickenham' and organising a number of events, including:

On Tuesday 17 January at 7pm, in the Exchange Twickenham there will be a screening of The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade, followed by Q&A with the author/director Andrew Feinstein. Entry £5 on Eventbrite.

Book here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-shadow-world-inside-the-global-arms-trade-with-andrew-feinstein-tickets-500097333587

If the entry fee or travel (including accessible travel) to this event are unaffordable, support is available from CAAT thanks to kind donations from our supporters.

On Monday, 23 January from 2.30-4.30 pm there will be a demonstration outside the Stadium, Whitton Road TW2 7BA (by the statue).

More than 2,000 people have already written to the Rugby Football Union, who own the stadium, and say no, via the PSC website.
