Manchester students inspirational visit to MUFC!
A group of Year 10 pupils from Saint Paul's Catholic High School in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester recently enjoyed a visit to Manchester United Football Club as part of the Rise programme which aims to engage and empower individuals and innovation and support young people to make positive choices.
Ms Kevina Cunliffe, MFL teacher at Saint Paul's, who organised the trip, said: "The trip was a fantastic opportunity for our students. they were extremely excited and appreciative. The students are currently undertaking the Rise programme and were invited to Manchester United, who are leading the programme, for a day to work on their project but also had a tour of the Manchester United ground.
If the students get to the final of the programme and win they have the opportunity to have all their university fees, courses etc paid for in the future, as well as three weeks in South Africa!"
The Rise programme creates lifelong opportunities that positively impact young people from the local community.
Mr Mike Whiteside, Deputy Headteacher at Saint Paul's, added: "This was a great experience for all the students, the programme is extremely supportive and inspiring. Involvement in programmes and visits like this provide a very valuable experience for our students and enhance the learning curriculum."
Thank you to the Manchester United Foundation for a fantastic visit!
